July/August 2012

Start the Corvallis School year off with Dance Classes at Regional School of Ballet.

‘Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance.’
― Oprah Winfrey

We’ve been having a great summer session.  Hope you have made it to some classes!

It’s fun to see RSB dancers returning to take classes.  Molly has been away at school.  She says she has good memories of dancing at RSB and loves to see everyone again.

Andrea F has come back to the studio because she enjoys dance for exercise and wanted to come to the studio where she grew up dancing.

Jenna loves ballet.  She recently moved back to the area and RSB is where she started dancing as a child.

Ashley has been traveling and working after college. She has moved back to the area and is back dancing with us. Ashley returned to RSB last year because she likes Shelly Svoboda and the teachers at RSB. She likes how the teachers have strong backgrounds in dance and how they teach good technique. Ashley says that she too has great memories and that RSB is like a family.

We’ve had a sighting of Andrea H, too.  It’s been great to see everyone and we love to see how RSB dancers keep dance in their lives.

Summer Intensives

Are you in Advanced or Advanced Intermediate Ballet?  Now is the time to start looking for a summer intensive dance program!  In a summer intensive, you can learn new choreography, improve technique, make new friends in the dance world and get inspired by the artistry of other dancers.  Students from RSB have gone to intensives from coast to coast in the USA and Canada.

Can’t get away?  We have some great opportunities right here in Oregon.  Check out the programs offered through Eugene Ballet and Oregon Ballet Theater and see if one of your dance friends will carpool with you.  Please share the programs you find with us on our Facebook page,  www.facebook.com/regionalballet.
