Classes start the week of September 9th, 2013.
New Class – Intro to Melt
Have you tried the Melt Method? ‘The MELT Method® (MELT) is a self-treatment technique that helps prevent pain, heal injury, and erase the negative effects of aging and active living.’ Shelly Svoboda has become a certified instructor of this exciting technique and will be teaching two classes this year on Wed from 4:15-4:45 and on Thurs from 7:30-8:00.
Classes are open to dancers and non-dancers.
Chamber Ballet of Corvallis Auditions
Regional School of Ballet students are eligible to audition to participate in the Chamber Ballet of Corvallis at age 11 or by special invitation by Shelly Svoboda.
CBC students are pre-professional students who have made dance a priority and it is expected that dancers will be participating in CBC for the entire school year. Other extra curricular activities should not interfere with ballet classes, rehearsals or performances.
CBC dancers will be featured the Snow Scene in the Nutcracker. CBC will also host and perform in the Dance Gallery on April 5th, 2014 and the Lilac Fairy Tea in May 2014.
A CBC Contract is available for download for auditioning dancers.
2013 Nutcracker Auditions
Auditions for the 2013 Corvallis Regional School of Ballet Nutcracker will be Saturday, September 28th 2012. Check out the details on our Nutcracker News page. Auditions are open to all area dancers. Questions? e-mail email@example.com
In addition to the RSB auditions, dancers are encouraged to audition for the Eugene Ballet’s Corvallis performance of The Nutcracker. More information will be available as it comes in.
Looking for Studio Sponsorships
Regional School of Ballet is inviting local business to sponsor community dancers. You sponsorship provides you the opportunity to advertise at RSB performances, on the website and in the studio. Annual studio sponsorships help RSB dancers defray the increasing costs for theater rental and technicians, prop and costume expenses and program costs.
Children in dance learn to focus their attention, to concentrate and to follow directions. Dance allows children to explore their own creativity and capacity to respond to music through dance. Dance welcomes everyone and neglects no one.
Under the direction of Shelly Svoboda, Regional School of Ballet has been providing a positive, enriching atmosphere for beginning to advanced level students since 1987. RSB offers a number of performance opportunities to dance students in the community, including The Nutcracker, The Dance Gallery, the Lilac Fairy Tea, and the annual RSB Recital.
Multiple sponsorship levels are available to fit any advertising budget. If you are interested in sponsoring The Regional School of Ballet, please download and complete a sponsor form today.
